Preparation and provision of anonymized information to third parties
The Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003) stipulates that when one prepares anonymized information (*) using personal information and provides such anonymized information to third parties, one must announce the items of personal information included and the method of provision.
The Hitachi Health Insurance Society prepares and provides anonymized information to third parties as described below.
Please note that the Society prepares anonymized information in a way that makes it impossible to identify the individuals concerned, pursuant to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
(*) Anonymized information refers to information that has been prepared by processing personal information in a way that makes it impossible for an ordinary person to identify specific individuals and to restore the information to the original (i.e., prior to processing) personal information.
